Case study — Zopflix AI

Shipra stopped renting someone else's dispatch schedule and built its own.

Shipra used to rent a cab vendor to move its own employees. Now it owns the transport platform outright — drivers, scheduling, and cost all under its own control, built by a team of two to four people with AI-coding assistants throughout.

The challenge

A vendor relationship has no levers to pull.

Shipra relied on a third-party cab vendor to move employees to and from work — reliability, driver schedules, and cost were all set by someone else's business, not Shipra's. The fix wasn't a better contract. It was owning the whole thing.

Third-party vendor

  • Driver schedules set by the vendor, not Shipra
  • Reliability inconsistent, no internal visibility
  • Cost fixed at whatever the vendor charged
  • No lever to pull when service needed to improve

Owned platform

  • Drivers on Shipra's own payroll
  • Full control over scheduling
  • On-time performance improved
  • Transportation cost down 50%

The approach

Two interfaces, built together, rolled out to real riders first.

Built over three months by a small team of 2–4 people, using AI-coding assistants throughout. Rolled out first to Shipra's own employees, deliberately — so real usage could surface real issues before the platform ever reached an external corporate client.

Mobile app

Employees & drivers

Employees and drivers coordinate pickup and drop directly with each other — no vendor dispatcher in between.

Backend admin

Shift & fleet managers

Shift managers publish the employee roster in collaboration with HR. Fleet managers create and manage trips, manually or automatically.

The results, so far

Owning the fleet paid for itself.

Moving from a third-party vendor to an owned, purpose-built platform changed the numbers that mattered — and gave Shipra control it never had before.

50%

Drop in transportation cost, moving from vendor pricing to an owned fleet.

On-time performance improved once scheduling was in Shipra's own hands.

100%

Scheduling control — drivers are now on Shipra's own payroll, not a vendor's.

The extension

From corporate rides to individual riders — without starting over.

Rather than building a separate product from scratch, the same core platform — driver network, fleet management, and safety infrastructure already proven through the B2B rollout — was extended with a B2C app for individual riders wanting a premium, professionally driven ride.

Proven B2B infrastructure

Driver network, fleet management, and safety systems, already through 3 months of real-world use.

Live

B2C app, individual riders

Same infrastructure, extended for premium individual rides — built in 2 months on an existing platform.
